I've had my Q4 for 3 weeks now and have identified a number of frustrating issues that I'm attempting to resolve.

I am configured as the key user and my wife as a secondary user, since only one key user can be created as far as I'm aware.

I have installed the myaudi app on my android mobile and on my wife's mobile and we both use the same login details (mine).

When I drive the car, I select my user profile. If after I have driven the car I use the myaudi mobile app to locate the car, the map "page" shows a car icon and I can click on this and it shows the location of the car. Brilliant, exactly what I would expect!

Now, if my wife drives the car and selects her profile, if I then use the myaudi mobile app to locate the car, the map page doesn't display the car icon, so I'm unable to determine where the car is.

Why?

How do I work around this? Currently, after my wife has been driving the car and with her profile being the last one to be used, the myaudi app is missing this important functionality.

I considered creating an additional key user for my wife, but I don't believe I can associate this with her car user profile as only one key user profile can be defined. I thought if she was also setup as a key user, she would be able to login to the myaudi app on her mobile and maybe that would allow the car to be seen after SHE had been driving it, but not when I had been driving it. This additional key user seems pointless unless I can associate it with her (secondary) user profile.

Any thoughts?

It will not allow you to see the vehicle location when another user profile (secondary or otherwise) has driven the vehicle. This is to protect the data of the other user.

And you’re right - the ability to set up an additional user is fairly pointless. Best just to use one (key user) profile, which you can use on different phones.
