Hi,
I see there’s an Audi Connect subscription for £115 a year.
Am I correct the extra benefits I’d get from this are:
1) Weather forecast on the MMI (this is handy to be fair, saves digging out your phone and it’s not available via Apple car play )
2) SOS button (or does this still work even without subscribing?)
2) satellite map view: looks good, but not quite as easy to read as a pictorial map during navigation?
3) 3D buildings view: meh
4) parking information: this seems to be available even to non subscribers, so what extra info do subscribers get?
5) live traffic info: how good is this compared to using Waze or Google maps?
6) Alexa integration. I already have the plug in Alexa auto from my last car so I don’t think I’d have much use for the integrated one
I don’t do high mileage (roughly 10,000 a year), so I’m not quite seeing the benefit of the subscription?
Audi Connect subscription - worth it for low mileage?
If your car is less than three years old it is all included anyway, and if (like mine), it hits the three year mark, wait to see if it is automatically renewed for fee - mine was and it is now saying 2027 when it will run out.
I don't know if it was connected, but I had been in contact with Audi on their chat service from the website about the difficulty I had in ordering the connected services. For some reason I was unable to order them. Then, when the date came for the services to stop, they were, as I mentioned, extended free of charge.
I did think £115 a year was expensive for something that really should be included for the lifetime of the car (IMHO).
