Evening all,
I'm possibly looking to join the Q4 club! Hopefully I will end up with used/nearly new Q4. I test drove the new 45 model, however its likely my budget will fit a 40 model. My head says Q5, but it looks dull and old vs the Q4.
I have a few questions if you can please help?
1. 40 vs 50 - is the 40 enough for day to day, motorway, overtaking and ability to sometimes get spirited? How badly does the 50 lose in range? I read the front axle only initiates when it detects traction loss.
2. I seem to have read many issues regarding software/glitches and some drive related issues (dead spots), have many of these issues been resolved?
3. Anything else I should look out for?

1. I have a 40, no problems my end. Range is around 250miles max with a mix of motorways and town driving.
2. Software is basic but works, but don't expect any improvements with over the air updates.
3. Prices are pretty low these days, I think our S Line 40 is now around 25k. We did have to optionally spec a reversing camera though so keep an eye on that.

Reference 2. I will be solely using apple car play, assume this will reduce my need for the Audi system. I guess the questions relates to any software issues that effect other aspect of the car which isn't the infotainment.
Would you say the 40 has sufficient in power? To travel with the family and safely overtake, not 0-60 runs
