Hi all.
Quick question regarding a new noise that my 40 etron seems to be making. When accelerating from a standstill I hear a distinct single thump coming from the rear of the car. I have checked all the cables and items that my be making it and have driven without any items in boot (underfloor included) and it still makes the noise.
Before I take it to the local dealer I thought I would ask to see if anyone else had experienced this.
It is a soft thump rather than a metallic noise and seems to me to be related to a the car taking up a transmission 'gap' if that makes sense. I.e, the car is at standstill, power applied and then there is the thump as it takes up the power and transfers it to the wheels. (Very technical language!)
The other option I wondered was whether it is related to the brakes being released ( I use autohold) but it would be strange that the sound has started if there is nothing inherently wrong.
